IP whitelisting lets an approved IP address connect to a proxy without sending a username and password. Useful for tools that cannot store credentials. Residential and Mobile only. IP whitelisting is not available for ISP proxies.

What it does and does not do

Step 1 - Find your public IP

You need your public IP, not the address of your device on your own network. Open icanhazip.com in a browser. It shows one line: your public IP. Anything starting 192.168., 10. or 172.16. to 172.31. is a local address and will not work. Turn off any VPN or proxy first. If one is running, you will see its IP instead of yours.

Step 2 - Add it in the dashboard

  1. Go to Rotating Residential Proxy in the left navigation. The page is headed Proxy Setup.
  2. Open the IP Whitelist tab.
  3. Click Add IP.
  4. Enter your public IP.
  5. Choose the location and other settings for the proxy.
  6. Click Save.
Your proxy string appears in the table. Copy it. IP Whitelist tab in Proxy Setup Add IP dialog Choosing location and settings for the whitelisted IP

Step 3 - Use it

Paste the proxy into your browser or anti-detect tool. No username or password needed - we recognise you by your IP. Some tools want the address without the protocol. If yours rejects the string, remove http:// or socks5:// from the front. Proxy string listed in the IP Whitelist table
