Residential proxies are intermediary servers that use IP addresses assigned by ISPs to real life residential devices, such as computers and smartphones.

Acting as middlemen between a user’s device and the internet, they provide an alternative IP from a home network, effectively masking the user's identity with genuine residential IPs.
