Regular internet home users are assigned an IP address by their ISP. Some of these users offer their IP addresses to a proxy network in exchange for various benefits. This forms a residential proxy network, allowing other users, like yourself, to connect and use these residential IP addresses, thereby appearing as genuine users from different locations.
