# Potatso (iOS)

> Add a NodeMaven SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy to the Potatso app on iOS.

Potatso is a network tool for iOS that gives your phone a fully customized network environment. Potatso is friendly for both beginners and power users.

## Install and set up Potatso

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the app">
    Download and install the Potatso app from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/ao/app/potatso/id1239860606).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate a proxy">
    Generate a proxy on the [Proxy Setup](https://dashboard.nodemaven.com/proxy/default) page and copy the details into the app.

  <Step title="Add the proxy manually">
    To add a proxy in Potatso, tap **Add Servers**, then **Manual Input**.

  <Step title="Enter your proxy details">
    Change the protocol to SOCKS5 or HTTP and select password as the authentication method.

    Then fill in the connection fields:

    * In the **Server** address field, enter the host.
    * In the **Port** field, enter your proxy port. For SOCKS5 that is `1080`, and for HTTP that is `8080`.
    * Enter your **Username** and **Password**.

    Once done, tap the **Check** button to save.

  <Step title="Connect">
    Tap the **Connect** button to connect to the proxy. Your proxy is now active.
