# Google Chrome (Simple Proxy Switcher extension)

> Set up a NodeMaven proxy in Google Chrome with the Simple Proxy Switcher extension.

This guide shows how to set up a NodeMaven proxy in Google Chrome using the Simple Proxy Switcher extension.

## Set up Simple Proxy Switcher in Chrome

<Steps>

    Install the [Simple Proxy Switcher extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simple-proxy-switcher/pcboajngloecgmaailkmphmpbacmbcfb?hl=en) from the Chrome Web Store.

  <Step title="Open the Import tab">
    In the Simple Proxy Switcher extension, go to the **Import** tab.

  <Step title="Paste your proxy string">
    Configure the proxy in your [NodeMaven Dashboard](https://dashboard.nodemaven.com/proxy/default) and paste the [proxy string](/residential-mobile/proxy-string) into Simple Proxy Switcher.

  <Step title="Save the proxy">
    Click **Save**.

  <Step title="Enable the proxy">
    Go to the **Proxy** tab and enable your proxy.

    You are now connected to the proxy. Check the IP address you are browsing from with [MaxMind](https://www.maxmind.com/en/locate-my-ip-address), or follow [Test your proxies](/quickstart/test-your-proxies).
