# Proxy for Arc Browser

> Arc has no in-app proxy setting, so configure your NodeMaven proxy at the operating system level.

Arc Browser does not support direct proxy configuration within the app itself. To use a NodeMaven proxy with Arc, set the proxy up at the operating system level, as shown below for Windows.

## Set up the proxy on Windows for Arc

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open network settings">
    Right-click the network icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, then click **Network & Internet settings**.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the gateway and port">
    In the **Proxy IP address** field, enter `gate.nodemaven.com`.

    For the **Port**, use `8080` for HTTP or `1080` for SOCKS5.

    <Note>
      Other ports are also available. HTTP accepts ports from `8080` up to `9080`, and SOCKS5 accepts ports from `1080` up to `2080`. An alternative SOCKS5 port such as `1081` is the usual fix when your network blocks `1080`. See [Protocols and ports](/residential-mobile/protocols-and-ports).
    </Note>

    <Warning>
      NodeMaven supports HTTP and SOCKS5 only. Enter the gateway as a bare hostname - do not prefix it with `https://` or any other scheme.
    </Warning>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the proxy">
    Click **Save**.
