# How can I get a different IP for each web request?

> Set Session type to Rotating to get a new IP on every request.

Set **Session type** to **Rotating**. A rotating proxy changes the IP address on every request you make.

Rotating is available on Residential and Mobile proxies:

1. Open **Rotating Residential Proxy** in the dashboard. The page is headed **Proxy Setup**.
2. Open **Advanced settings**.
3. Set **Session type** to **Rotating**.
4. Copy the generated proxy string from the list below.

A rotating string carries no session ID, which is what makes each request take a new IP. ISP proxies do not rotate, because each ISP IP is yours for the term of the order.
