# Do you require a KYC?

> KYC is not required to use NodeMaven proxies.

No. KYC is not required to use NodeMaven services at the moment. You do not need to submit identity documents to create an account, buy a plan or generate proxies.

All you need to sign up is an email address. See [Create an account](/quickstart/create-an-account).

Use of the proxies is still governed by our acceptable-use rules, so some destinations remain off limits regardless of identity checks. See [Do you block any domains?](/faqs/blocked-domains) and [Is using proxies legal?](/faqs/legality).
