# Can an ISP Proxy be used on different devices at the same time?

> Yes. There is no device limit on an ISP proxy, with two trade-offs worth knowing.

Yes. There is no limit on the number of devices that can use an ISP proxy, and you can run it on several computers or phones at the same time.

Two things to weigh before you do:

* **Higher risk of detection.** Sharing one proxy across multiple devices can increase the chance of being flagged on sensitive websites, because the traffic patterns from those devices arrive from a single IP.
* **Reduced performance.** Speed on the proxy can drop when several devices use it simultaneously, since they share the same connection.

ISP proxies carry unlimited traffic per IP, so extra devices cost you nothing in bandwidth. See [ISP proxies overview](/isp/overview).

If each device needs its own identity, buy an IP per device or use Residential proxies with a separate session per device. See [Sticky sessions](/residential-mobile/sticky-sessions).
