# Can I delete my account?

> Yes. Email a confirmation from the address on your account and the deletion is completed within 24 hours.

**Yes, your NodeMaven account can be deleted.** Account deletion is handled by the support team rather than from inside the dashboard.

## How to request deletion

Send a confirmation email to [support@nodemaven.com](mailto:support@nodemaven.com) **from the email address associated with your account**. Support needs the request to come from that address in order to confirm the account is yours.

Your request will be completed within 24 hours, and you will be notified once the account is deleted.

  Deleting your account is permanent. If you have a subscription or unused traffic on the account, sort that out before you send the request. Cancelling is a separate thing and does not delete the account, as described in [how to cancel your subscription](/billing/cancel).
