# How to cancel your subscription

> Cancelling stops the next payment. Remaining traffic freezes and returns when you subscribe again.

Cancelling your subscription stops the next payment. **You keep using the service until the end of the cycle you have already paid for.**

## Before you cancel

**Your remaining traffic freezes when the cycle ends. It is not deleted.** Start a subscription again later and the frozen traffic is added back.

<Warning>
  **One exception.** If you cancel and then move to **Pay-as-you-go**, the remaining subscription traffic is forfeited. It does not transfer and it does not come back. If you have a large balance left and you are considering [Pay-as-you-go](/billing/pay-as-you-go), use the traffic first.

**If you only want to spend less, downgrade instead of cancelling.** Moving to the smallest plan keeps your subscription active, so nothing freezes and your whole balance stays usable. See [how to upgrade or downgrade your subscription](/billing/upgrade).

## Cancelling

    Click **Billing** in the left navigation.

    Open the **Subscriptions** tab.

  <Step title="Cancel Subscription">
    Find your subscription and click **Cancel Subscription**.

  <Step title="Confirm">
    A confirmation window appears. Click **Continue to cancel**, or **Keep Subscription** to stop.

  <Step title="Choose a reason">
    Choose a reason for cancelling, then click **Confirm cancellation**. **I want to stay** backs out.

    A confirmation message appears when the cancellation is done.

## What happens next

| When | What |
| - | - |
| Straight away | Nothing changes. Your plan runs to the end of the paid cycle |
| End of the cycle | The subscription ends. Remaining traffic freezes |
| Whenever you come back | Start a subscription and the frozen traffic is added back |

## Refunds

**Cancelling does not issue a refund automatically.** Cancelling stops the next payment.

If you cancel part-way through a cycle with traffic still unused, **you can ask support to look at a refund**. Refunds are reviewed case by case and handled by the support team rather than processed from the dashboard, so contact us with your order details.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. A card payment is refunded to that card, and **crypto payments are refunded in USDT only**.

## Changing your mind

If the cycle has not ended, reactivate from **Billing** and nothing is interrupted.
